Create a Unique Marketing Plan to Attract Your Ideal Readers

When it comes to marketing, many new and experienced writers still have a common misconception. They tend to observe what other writers are doing and copy their strategies, regardless of whether they’re applicable or not. This approach is flawed because marketing success is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Every writer has their unique audience, and therefore, a personalized marketing plan is essential.

To attract the right readers, it’s vital to focus on your niche audience. Rather than spreading yourself thin, target the readers who count- those who are likely to enjoy your work and share similar interests. Planning your marketing strategy is equally important as executing it. Having a clear plan and sticking to it will help avoid impulsive reactions.

But where does one start with creating a marketing plan? Start by considering your own interests and preferences- what appeals to you? By thinking about how you like to be reached, you can develop a plan that will attract readers similar to yourself. Ultimately, your marketing strategy should be as unique as your personality and the product you’re promoting.

Remember: just because a marketing strategy is working for someone else doesn’t mean it will work for you.

You are an individual. Attract readers who are most like you. Do that by first examining your own self. That’s your target audience. The plan, then, will come from that.
